Kota Kinabalu: The most common problem among house buyers is the inability to come up with the deposit but Jesselton Group is making it easy by doing away with that for its Jesselton Twin Towers, Borneo’s tallest iconic 56-storey lifestyle landmark development.

Jesselton Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd Tan Sri David Chu said they are partnering with Maybank Islamic to roll out the HouzKEY home ownership financing programme for the soon-to-be completed Jesselton Twin Towers, especially for Sabahans.

“Under the programme with Maybank Islamic, housebuyers get to enjoy 100 per cent financing with no down payment required…no payment during construction period and the low monthly payments with the best rate.

“Many people are unable to come up with the deposit and a lot of them have to resort to renting houses for decades. So Jesselton Group is making it easy now for the people to own their dream homes,” he said, that professionals and business people would find the offer attractive and within their means.

Chu hopes that with the financial solution now available, the people would not miss the opportunity to own a unit at Jesselton Twin Towers with the Occupational Certificate (OC) expected to be obtained by year end or the first quarter of next year the latest.

To sign up for the Maybank Islamic HouzKEY programme, one must be a Malaysian, aged 18-70 and must not have more than one home financing to be eligible.

“So, this is a great opportunity to own a dream home, especially for first time house buyers,” said Chu.

He said Jesselton Twin Towers’ on-going sales package includes free Sales and Purchase Agreement as well as Financing Agreement legal fees, stamp duties and disbursement fees.

Jesselton Twin Towers was designed and built by a world-class team comprising UIG Architects, the Meinhardt Group and China State Construction Engineering Corporation with their international acclaimed expertise.

Jesselton Twin Towers won The Borneo Star Award for the Best East Malaysia Development at the StarProperty Awards Night 2019.

Chu said almost 70 per cent of the units have been taken up with around 20 per cent of the buyers foreigners, mainly from China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Brunei and other neighbouring countries.

“A couple of them are from the US and the rest are local Sabahans, with a few from Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur,” he said.

Chu says foreign buyers, in particular, look for iconic buildings with sea and sunset views as well as those in a safe or gated-and-guarded environment when investing overseas.

“Jesselton Twin Towers meets all these criteria. With the Consulate General of the Republic of China’s Kota Kinabalu office located across the road from the development and with China State Construction Engineering Corp Ltd as the main contractor, Jesselton Twin Towers has attracted many foreign buyers, especially those from China,” he said.

Located on a 4.88-acre parcel with 999 years in land tenure in Damai — just 10 minutes from the city centre — the RM800 million Jesselton Twin Towers development offers 819 units in two 56-storey towers with a commercial annex.

The built-ups for the units range from 649 to 2,041 sq ft while the penthouses measure from 3,725 to 6,982 sq ft. Available units are priced from RM529,000 to RM2.15 million, and the penthouses, from RM3.95 million to RM7.6 million.

A notable facility at the development is a double-storey private rooftop, the Sky Club, on Levels 54 and 55 of both towers, which will offer a sunset bar, sky café, sky gardens, sky terraces, private sky lounges, private sky dining, lounge and library.

“At Levels 54 and 55 Sky Gardens and bar, one can relax and enjoy the much cooler weather… a sensational experience. You don’t have to go to Kundasang or Kokol Hill.

“Jesselton Twin Towers will also boast panoramic views of the Sabah Golf & Country Club’s 18-hole golf course, Mount Kinabalu, Likas Bay as well as the beautiful and breathtaking sunset view,” said Chu.

Other facilities at the podium’s recreational deck will include a 50m salt-water lap pool, Jacuzzi, children’s splash pool, gymnasium, dance studio, steam and sauna, function halls, meeting room, pavilions, children’s play area, lounge deck, drivers’ lounge, lawn and garden.

Jesselton Twin Towers will also come with a four-tier security system, including 24-hour CCTV surveillance and security services, card access and panic buttons in the car park area.

The development is located strategically between the Jalan Lintas Highway and Jalan Damai, and is a mere 10-minute drive to the city centre as well as the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

It is surrounded by amenities such as private hospitals, private schools, shopping and recreation and the Sabah Golf & Country Club.

Chu called on buyers to seize the opportunity to grab the remaining units.

“Do not hesitate to drop by our sales office next to the twin towers to have a chat with our sales team and sign up for a unit,” he said.
