Scotland fans have been shocked seeing Liverpool fullback Andrew Robertson partying with teammates during Sunday's open top bus parade.

Liverpool organised the event after winning the Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season, and it still went ahead despite the team losing the Champions League final the previous day.

Thousands of Liverpool fans lined the streets, and Robertson appeared to be enjoying himself as he was filmed with a beer in hand on the bus.

But the event was held just 72 hours before his nation's crucial World Cup play-off semi-final against Ukraine.

Robertson took to social media on Sunday evening, thanking Liverpool fans before turning his attention to representing his country.

"Can't tell you how much that means to everyone that, best fans in the world. Now Scotland Time," he wrote, using an image of his nation's flag.

Scotland will play Ukraine on Wednesday night at Hampden Park, and the victors will take on Wales on Sunday for a place at the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
