Tottenham are preparing a bid for Sporting CP midfielder Joao Palhinha.
Jornal de Noticias says Spurs are expected to make a bid for Palhinha 'within the month' after being heavily linked with the 26-year-old over the last year.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte wants to reinforce his midfield at the end of the current campaign and Palhinha is an 'ideal' candidate to improve the centre of the park.
Palhinha has enjoyed an excellent season with Sporting and has broken into the Portugal squad this past season.
