Valencia president Anil Murthy is ready to sell Jose Luis Gaya.
That's according to recordings of Murthy published by Superdeporte over the weekend.
Gaya is a target for Barcelona and Murthy stated: "I understand that he is asking for a transfer because he has been here for many years.
"I like this boy, but you have to respect his ambition to play with the national team and to evolve in a team that plays in the Champions League.
"When I tell him that I'm going to re-sign him, he will say to himself: 'What am I doing here?'"
Gaya has a deal with VCF to 2023.
