1945
24th May was a red-letter day for all of us. I was laid up with malaria for some time, though I was a little better that day and was able to move about. It was 9 a.m. A few planes passed above us quite high moving towards Weston. My wife and children had already gone to hide and then returned. Half an hour later another plane was seen approaching from the western side.
At the first sound of the drone at a far off distance my wife with the children had once again taken off to the other side of the railway track to hide. I was sitting at the front of the house watching the flight of the plane.
