KOTA KINABALU: Social media should not be abused by irresponsible quarters to put others down through their hateful and hurtful posts, said Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association Women’s Council Chairperson Joanna Datuk Kitingan (pic).

Condemning the recent cyber-attacks on a district Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) finalist, Joanna who is also State UNK Organising Chairperson stressed that nobody can judge anyone by just looking at their body shape and shame them.

She said this following harsh comments posted by Facebook users on Melonia Lineri Loganathan, a Tambunan Unduk Ngadau finalist, during the recent live streaming of the event’s finals.

Joanna said she was upset to read harsh and negative online comments thrown at the young Kadazan Dusun Murut beauties.
