Sandakan students plant 40 trees

SANDAKAN: SM St Michael Sandakan’s Kelab Wildlife Junior Rangers (WJR) planted 40 camphor (Dryobalanops aromatic) seedlings during a tree-planting event at the Sandakan Rainforest Park, Mile 5, here, Sunday.

The Sandakan Forestry Department and Sandakan District Forestry Officer assisted with the programme, which was attended by parents, children and members of the Fay’s Studio and Walai Tokou Gym.

Sandakan Forestry Officer Jurimin Ebin officiated ta the event, which, among other things, promotes the importance of environmental preservation, particularly among the younger generation.
