Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne gave an unprompted boost to the club during their Premier League title celebrations.

The Belgian midfielder is a key reason for the club going on to lift the league title, which they did by pipping Liverpool to first place by a single point.

City had to rescue their season after going 2-0 down to Aston Villa at home, with De Bruyne leading a late charge that saw them score thrice in five minutes to win 3-2.

The Belgian won the Premier League Player of the Year, along with the club's Player of the Year award.

"Honestly, give it to either of them, they push me all the way," he said when asked to praise two other nominees for the club's POTY award, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva.

"I've been here seven years, I love them, this is my team. I've got another three years here, I'm definitely going to stay. This is where I want to be, where I want to win trophies, this is where we want to go."
