KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia’s top shuttler Lee Zii Jia enters the finals of the 2022 Thailand Open after defeating compatriot Liew Daren 21-16, 13-21, 21-14 in 51 minutes.
World number six Zii Jia led the first set, but veteran Liew came back strong in the second set to force a third set showdown between the Malaysians.
Zii Jia took charge once again in the final set and secured his spot in the finals where he will either face Japan’s Kodai Naraoka or China’s Li Shi Feng. – The Vibes, May 21, 2022
