Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes wants the club to secure Matt Targett permanently.
The defender has been excellent for the Magpies since the arrival of Eddie Howe as manager.
While Guimaraes, a January signing, has played his part in the club's revival in the second half of the season, he also believes Targett has been crucial.
Post-game after a 2-0 win over Arsenal in the Premier League, Target told NUTV: "The crowd was electric today and that fed down to the pitch.
"We were feeding off that and that was probably our best performance of the second half of the season."
Guimaraes then added on Targett: "He needs to stay!"
Targett smiled and continued: "I think everyone knows what I want!
"It's up to the club. It's a massive project, an exciting project and I think everyone wants to be a part of it."
