Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is in talks with Nottingham Forest.
Sabatini is available after his resignation from Salernitana last week over a row regarding agents' fees.
Along with Forest, the Italian is also speaking with Olympiakos, with both clubs under the same ownership.
TMW says a move to Forest is most likely for Sabatini.
Sabatini is something of a legend in Italian football, the 67-year-old chain-smoking transfer wheeler and dealer who worked for Lazio, Palermo, Roma, Jiangsu Suning, Sampdoria, the Montreal Impact, Inter, Bologna and Salernitana.
