Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier has paid tribute to Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.
Trippier left Atletico in January, having helped them to the LaLiga title the previous season.
The England fullback said of Simeone: "He is a legend, I learned a lot from him.
"I admire him a lot, as everyone knows. I want to take this opportunity to thank him for giving me the opportunity to play in Spain, at Atlético de Madrid.
"It is a special club and I wish him the best. He is a great man."
