Manchester United have opened new contract talks with Alejandro Garnacho

The former Atletico Madrid junior has three years to run on his existing deal.

It emerged in Italy this week that Juventus were considering a move for the Argentina U20 international.

But the Manchester Evening News says talks have begun with Garnacho about a new deal.

Negotiations are progressing well over a new contract, with United keen to reward their latest academy star for his development over the past year.

Garnacho only signed his first professional contract when he turned 17 last July by penning a deal until 2025, despite recent reports wrongly suggesting he was out of contract next year.
