Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has announced he's changed his name.
Partey has taken on the name Yakubu as part of his conversion to Islam - but will still be referred to as Partey when he plays for the Gunners and will continue to wear Thomas on his shirt.
Partey has converted to Islam because of his Moroccan girlfriend Sara Bella and revealed in a recent interview in his native Ghana that he has taken on the name Yakubu.
"I have a girl I love, I know my side chicks will leave me but it's no problem," he joked in an Instagram video posted by Ghanaian journalist Nana Aba Anamoah.
"I grew up with Muslims so at the end of the day it's the same thing. I'm already married and my Muslim name is Yakubu."
