Teradata and Ingram Micro, the world's biggest IT distributor, announced a partnership to help customers in Singapore install Teradata Vantage in the cloud to address the growing need for data-driven business insight. This partnership combines Teradata's multi-cloud data platform, Vantage, with Ingram Micro's enormous networks to enable large-scale and uninterrupted access to these services in Southeast Asia, as part of the distributorship coverage expansion.
This collaboration responds to the growing requirement for Singapore businesses to increase their digital technologies investments to stay resilient and competitive. It also directly supports Singapore's Budget 2022 announcement, in which the government emphasised the importance of strengthening the country's digital capabilities and dedicated S$200 million to improve programmes that help businesses and workers develop such skills.
“There is no question that the current pandemic has accelerated the digital transformation journeys for many organisations, worldwide. This is especially true in Singapore where we are seeing a strong push from the government to invest in new capabilities to help companies adapt to the changing business landscape,” said Alfred Tan, Senior Director of Partner and Alliance, APJ, Teradata. “Our partnership with Ingram Micro will help businesses fully optimise their digital potential via actionable and data-driven business intelligence.”
As organisations continue to pick up the pace of digital adoption, many are looking at how they can more effectively execute their cloud strategies by utilising scalable, multi-cloud platforms for more reliable management of expanding analytic workloads. Teradata Vantage and Ingram Micro's combined capabilities answer the growing demand for better cloud services in Singapore by providing solutions that eliminate data silos, lower query costs across numerous clouds, and enable seamless cross-functional and company-wide data sharing.
“We’re excited to expand our partnership with Teradata in this region to offer its industry-leading data analytics solutions to organisations in Singapore,” said Eunice Lau, Managing Director, Ingram Micro Singapore. “Together with Teradata, we can help businesses fully realise the promise of technology by optimising the massive volumes of data they’re collecting every day and turning them into real and timely insights.”
Teradata Vantage enables ecosystem simplification by unifying analytics, data lakes and data warehouses. With Vantage, enterprises can eliminate silos and cost-effectively query all their data, all the time, regardless of where the data resides — in the cloud, on multiple clouds, on-premises or in a hybrid environment — to get a complete view of their business.
