Bayern Munich sports chief Hasan Salihamidzic has welcomed the arrival of Philippe Coutinho.
The Barcelona midfielder has signed for Bayern initially on-loan.
Coutinho moves to Bayern for 8.5m on a 12 month temporary deal, with a permanent option worth 120m.
Salihamidzic said, "During negotiations with FC Barcelona, Philippe Coutinho made it very clear that he wanted to join Bayern Munich.
"He is a world-class player with very good qualities and offers different possibilities on the offensive side."
