Zinedine Zidane came close to the sack at Real Madrid last month, it has been revealed.
French pundit Frederic Hermel says Zidane could've been shown the door at Real if they'd lost at Champions League opponents Galatasaray.
Hermel told 20 Minutes: "I know, and I say, that if he'd lost to Galatasaray, he was very much in danger.
"I found that a little unfair elsewhere. He came back because he loves this club and the president asked him to give him this service.
"He could have waited a little before letting Zidane be fired."
