Liverpool midfielder James Milner has revealed the hands on style of manager Jurgen Klopp.
In an interview with the i paper, James Milner explained that Klopp expects his players to send regular text updates during the off-season and international breaks.
Milner said he sends a "session done" with Klopp usually responding with a thumbs-up emoji. The midfielder also told the i for reasons unknown Klopp started to respond with cowboy hats last summer.
"He's not been happy a few times when people haven't messaged him," said Milner.
"I don't know if people thought it was a joke the first time he asked and nobody texted him. He said, 'Boys make sure you message me otherwise there's going to be fines bandied about'."
The 33-year-old also revealed how the Liverpool boss had sent him a picture of himself smiling in a hot tub.
"He looked like he was enjoying himself," he said.
The midfielder said he thinks his manager was trying to tell him to relax.
"That's what he's like: he loves his job, he's 100% in it, he's so focused and demands the highest levels, but he enjoys himself while he does it and can have a joke," added Milner. "What you see is what you get.
"Can he do anything to help the player? Can they come back for treatment? He'll be thinking about his next team. He wants to have that information."
