Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is happy to be back with Switzerland this week.

Having been axed and stripped of the captaincy at Arsenal, Xhaka has found fresh support with his national team.

"The matter is ticked off for me," said Xhaka. "I'm ready."

Nati coach Vladimir Petkovic is delighted with what he's seen from Xhaka in training, having been in regular contact with the midfielder since his Gunners blow up.

He added: "When Granit takes a step backwards, he takes two steps forward."

Xhaka remains Switzerland captain and led them to a 1-0 win over Georgia in last night's Euros qualifier.
