Barcelona signing Pedri is proud to have joined the LaLiga champs.
Currently on-loan with Las Palmas, Pedri says he grew up admiring former Barca captain Andres Iniesta. However, he insists he doesn't want to be compared with the Vissel Kobe star.
He told AS: "No ... Iniesta is another type of player. It was ... Ugh ... For me Iniesta is a God. It is impossible to be like him. He has always been my idol. I also watched videos of Michael Laudrup because my father told me about him, but my great reference was always Iniesta."
Pedri was actually rejected by Real Madrid during a short trial.
And he revealed: "They told me that it was not the same as when they saw me with the Canarian national team, to continue working and that they would continue to scout me..."
