Manchester City have agreed a compensation package for West Bromwich Albion youngster Morgan Rogers.

The 16-year-old wants to join City after rejecting an opportunity to stay at the Hawthorns.

The Telegraph says City will pay around 4m to Albion in a deal that involved director of football Txiki Begiristain.

The amount is one of the highest paid for a player of Rogers' age and was pushed by Begiristain, who normally does not get involved with junior deals.

Rogers will have to wait 17 days until his 17th birthday to sign his first professional deal.
