Roma coach Paulo Fonseca admits they struggled with Atalanta's pressing for Wednesday night's defeat.
Atalanta won 2-0 result thanks to Duvan Zapata and Marten de Roon goals.
We have to recognise that Atalanta played better and pressed us all over the pitch. We didn't find the right solutions and therefore it was a deserved result," said Fonseca.
We wanted to play the ball and press high, but we went too deep and weren't aggressive enough. Despite it not being a good performance, we were still stable defensively in the first half and had a big chance with that save on Edin Dzeko. We'd be talking about a different game if we'd scored that opportunity.
Atalanta didn't have any real chances in the first half. We must now analyse the defeat and understand where we can all improve."
