Watford are pushing to close a deal for Rennes attacker Ismaila Sarr.
Sky Sports says Watford are increasingly hopeful of signing Sarr.
The clubs are discussing structure of payments on what would be a club-record deal.
If a deal can be agreed, the Senegal international will have a medical and finalise personal terms when he returns from an extended break following the Africa Cup of Nations.
Sarr has reportedly told Rennes he wants the move to happen.
