Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde is in the dark over pay-cut claims last summer regarding their move for PSG star Neymar.
Valverde was asked what he made of Gerard Pique's claims that the defender and other Barcelona teammates had spoken to president Josep Maria Bartomeu about restructuring the wages of the club to accommodate Neymar during the summer.
"I didn't know about it," he stated.
"Nobody proposed to reduce my salary, not when [Neymar] left, not when there was a chance of him coming back."
Continuing on the Pique theme, Valverde also made it clear that he's not worried about his involvement in organising this month's revamped Davis Cup.
"I don't think it's anything new for him," the Bara coach said of Pique's involvement in the tennis world. "If his performances dip or he starts to lose his focus, then I will worry."
