Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong has sung the praises of Juventus defender Mattijs de Ligt.
The pair are close and left Ajax this summer for different clubs.
De Jong told Gazzetta dello Sport: "If he has adapted to Juventus? I have not seen all his matches, my analysis is incomplete. I have seen only Fiorentina and Atletico, games in which I thought he did well. He is playing a lot and this is a good start. He is very young and arrived at Juve like a star: something very positive for his age.
"Of course I would have liked to have him here but I never said anything to him: it was his choice, he opted for Juventus and I think he did well because it is one of the biggest clubs in Europe."
