Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen admits the Premier League's shortened transfer window this summer was a problem for the dressing room.
The Dane was among Spurs players linked with moves away in the weeks between the Premier League deadline and Europe's on Monday.
"I think most English clubs eventually want the English transfer window to close at the same time as others so English clubs can just sell afterwards," Eriksen told BT.
"It is a miserable situation for a coach if he does not know which players he has available.
"It must be a difficult situation as a coach. That's how the game is. And something they chose."
