Atletico Madrid have completed their record signing of Benfica attacker Joao Felix.
At just 19 years of age Felix had been one of the most coveted players in Europe, yet Atletico were able to fight off Manchester City to lure the Portuguese starlet to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
Felix will be the face of Atletico's project as they move past the Antoine Griezmann era.
His 127.2 million euro price tag - which accounts for Felix's 120m euro release clause, six million euros paid as interest for paying in instalments, and 1.2m euros for Porto, where he first started out as a youth player - means that he not only becomes Los Rojiblancos' record signing but the fourth most expensive purchase of all time, only behind Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Philippe Coutinho.
