Former Japan coach Alberto Zaccheroni is backing Takehiro Tomiyasu for success with Bologna.
The 20-year-old defender was signed this summer from Sint-Truiden for 9m.
"He is a complete player and Bologna got a real bargain with Tomiyasu," Zaccheroni told Tuttomercatoweb.
We all know (Bologna director of sport Walter) Sabatini never buys anyone unless he knows what he's doing.
He's a good player and was compared to Maya Yoshida, who has been playing in Europe for a decade. He's got the quality to be a real star."
