Everton great Duncan Ferguson is available to take charge should Marco Silva be sacked.
The Daily Mail says the Blues have contingency plans to put club legend Ferguson in charge for Wednesday's Merseyside derby at Anfield should things go badly wrong for Marco Silva at Leicester today.
Silva is still very much on trial at Goodison over the next two games despite being spared after last weekend's defeat against Norwich.
But a heavy setback at the King Power could persuade owner Farhad Moshiri to act immediately knowing he has Ferguson to come in and hold the fort until a permanent successor is found.
Ferguson, 47, is a cult hero among Evertonians and his presence leading the team out of the tunnel against Liverpool would give the atmosphere an immediate lift.
