Former Arsenal captain Gilberto Silva expects an experienced manager to succeed the sacked Unai Emery.
Freddie Ljungberg is currently in charge as caretaker,
He is expected to be replaced by a more experienced boss, but could yet be a strong candidate for the permanent job after taking charge of the out of form squad's trip to Norwich.
"If he gets the results and gets the players supporting him, there is a chance," Silva said.
"The club will support him but it is important everyone works hard and gets together.
"Of course they will respect him and give him the opportunity to do well.
"There have been a lot of names over the last few days. I read about Pochettino, Allegri, Ancelotti.
"Maybe they go with somebody who will bring confidence back."
