Former AC Milan GM Massimiliano Mirabelli has again stated the club needs to swerve Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Rossonero are favourites to re-sign the departing LA Galaxy striker.

But Mirabelli told TMW: "He is not playing in France, Spain, England and Germany. He is playing an MLS championship which is almost amateur. Then he has a great personality, he is a champion, but any club takes Ibra to do what? He's still 38 years old.

"Apart from that, but even if he made 20 goals from January to June, then you didn't build something. Take a player who can't stay with you ... Focusing on young people, as Milan is rightly doing, you have to wait for them. You don't have to have players who come to die with you as they're so old that even though they do very well, they leave you nothing.

"I would never take him."
