Watford manager Javi Gracia has defended not using Ismalia Sarr in Saturday's draw with Newcastle United.
Watford supporters were heading singing Sarr's name before Gracia opted to instead bring on Isaac Success in the second-half, with the game eventually finishing 1-1.
"I didn't hear them, I didn't know what they were singing," he said.
"If you look at the bench, we had different options because we put on the pitch [Nathaniel] Chalobah, [Gerard] Deulofeu and Success.
"We also have Sarr, [Danny] Welbeck, [Adam] Masina and [Heurelho] Gomes on the bench.
"Most of them are offensive players - it was what we were looking for with these players, playing with three at the back with this shape to play with."
