Former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has left his post at Shanghai Shenhua.
The Spaniard signed on Christmas Day in 2018, but he only managed to oversee the team for a total of 17 games.
He has left halfway through the current Chinese Super League season, with the team only a single point and place above the drop zone.
Shanghai Shenhua had finished in seventh place in the league last term.
After a humiliating 3-0 loss to Guangzhou Evergrande at home, Flores announced he was leaving his post.
The official cause for his departure is "personal reasons" but it is clear the team's performance played a role.
