Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Alejandro Iturbe has signed pro terms.

Marca says Atletico have signed him to a professional contract after he turned 16 years of age at the beginning of September.

Premier League clubs, as well as others in Spain, were waiting for the player to turn 16, which is the age at which such a deal could be struck.

But Atletico Madrid have been able to convince the youngster to commit his future to Los Rojiblancos and he did so on Thursday at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, accompanied by his agent Jose Miguel Gonzalez.

The new contract runs until 2024 and contains a huge release clause of 36m.
