Nicolas Pepe turned down an offer from Manchester United to sign for Arsenal last week, it has been revealed.
The Ivory Coast star joined Arsenal for a record 80m from Lille.
However, Le 10 Sport says offers from Manchester United and Atletico Madrid were also accepted by Lille.
Atletico matched Arsenal's proposal, while United actually bid 90m for Pepe.
But the attacker chose Arsenal after talks with Gunners manager Unai Emery.
