Manchester United have told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer they plan to bring in four new signings next year.

United have struggled to score goals this season and The Times says the board is willing to remain patient with Solskjaer as they acknowledge the scale of the task at hand in rebuilding his squad.

The Norwegian has held meetings with the club's hierarchy and they will be looking to make four signings next year, including a centre forward.

United made three signings this summer, with Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James heading to Old Trafford.
