Matthijs De Ligt admits Cristiano Ronaldo helped convince him about moving to Juventus.
The former Ajax captain referred back to his country's 1-0 defeat to Ronaldo's Portugal in the final of the UEFA Nations League as a flattering moment.
"At that time, I was thinking of where to go after the summer. I had an idea, but I wanted to decide after the Nations League, have a vacation and then go to a new club," he revealed.
"At that time (of the meeting between Portugal and Holland) I was almost sure, but it was very nice that a player like Cristiano asked me if I wanted to join Juventus."
De Ligt completed his move to Juve this week.
