Inter Milan have jumped to the front of the queue in the race for Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
The 31-year-old, who was a regular in the Barcelona starting XI last season, has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp following the arrival of Frenkie de Jong earlier this summer.
This has prompted the likes of Manchester United and Juventus to make enquiries about the midfielder but it is Inter who are favourites to land him in January, says Mundo Deportivo.
Reports suggested that the Croatia international is the top of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's wishlist once the transfer window reopens, with United desperately lacking depth in midfield.
Rakitic has only started once for Barcelona this season and has only played 187 minutes of football, something which frustrated the midfielder.
