Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti admits they considered signing Mauro Icardi over the summer.
The Inter Milan striker left on deadline day to join PSG on a season-long loan.
And Ancelotti revealed: "Icardi? We evaluated so many possibilities and one of them was Icardi.
"Afterwards, for things to happen, several factors must be brought together. The will of the club to make it happen and that of the player to come.
"If one of the two sides does not agree, the player cannot come."
