Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte admits he has no role for Ivan Perisic in his system.
Conte hammered the Croatia midfielder after Saturday's preseason defeat to Manchester United.
"I do not think Perisic fits into the role I request, so right now the attack is the only place he can play in," said Conte referring to the wing-back role.
"There are roles to respect and one cannot change a player's qualities. The feeling I get is negative, so I don't think he can give the team what it needs."
West Ham and Arsenal were linked with Perisic at the beginning of this summer market.
