Steve Bruce has hinted he would've loved to have worked with Ayoze Perez.
The Spaniard will come against Newcastle, the club he left in the summer, in the Carabao Cup second-round on Wednesday.
Bruce told the Chronicle: "I never met him...but obviously he had a buyout clause.
"I know he was popular here and a very good player."
