Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has broken his silence over his dismissal against Real Mallorca.
Morata and Salva Sevilla traded barbs during and after their bust-up - including on social media.
Morata told Marca: "I think I did nothing serious, I did not insult anyone, I faced the defender because I am not stone, he came for me and he told me things that are not right.
"When it comes to putting or reducing penalties it seems that they want to use us as an example."
He added: "I apologise to my fans because they did not deserve to see that, or lose a player in the squad for the next game."
