Former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart has confirmed PSG refused to sell Neymar for less than 300m.
Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu pushed hard to bring the Brazil captain back to the Nou Camp, but found PSG counterpart Nasser Al-Khelaifi a reluctant negotiator.
Gaspart told Cadena SER: "I know that Barcelona and their president have really tried to recruit Neymar.
"PSG asked 300m right to the end. Although Neymar is an exceptional player, this could not be done for a question of dignity.
"But Bara did try to get him signed."
