French pundit Pierre Menes has jumped into the debate around the future of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.

Menes also believes Arsenal ace Alexandre Lacazette would've matched Giroud's recent success with France if he'd been given the same opportunity.

He posted to social media: "Giroud surprised me in these two games, I found him dangerous, he missed success in Albania, he was decisive against Moldova. I too would like to see other players.

"I imagine that if Lacazette had as many caps as him, he would have scored as many goals as him, but here the facts are there and the goals are there. Now what is obvious, is that the current situation cannot last, and if Giroud does not change clubs in January, it will be very difficult to select him for the Euros.

"But I think he will change clubs."
