Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was delighted for Adrian to be the hero in the UEFA Super Cup final on Wednesday.
The Reds were triumphant over Chelsea on penalties after the match finished 2-2 in extra time.
Having started in place of the injured Alisson, the Spaniard saved Tammy Abraham's penalty to seal a shootout win for the Reds.
He told BT Sport: "I'm delighted for Adrian. He's just come to the club and he's the hero tonight.
"We want to win as many trophies as we can so we'll enjoy it tonight but then focus on recovering for a big game on Saturday."
