Juventus chiefs expect Cristiano Ronaldo to apologise to his teammates after skipping out on them this weekend.

Against AC Milan, Ronaldo was hooked on 55 minutes for the eventual matchwinner Paulo Dybala on Sunday and is said to have left the ground before the final whistle.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Ronaldo did not apologise for his behaviour before leaving Turin to join the Portugal squad. And despite some disappointment with his actions, management chose not to fine him.

However, Juve sports chief Fabio Paratici has since contacted Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, to talk over the situation.

The Portuguese is prepared to address his teammates upon his return and Paratici has made it clear if he apologises then management are willing to draw a line under the episode.
