Andy Carroll has been given the all-clear to sign with a club.
The striker was released by West Ham United this summer after suffering constant injury problems over the past few seasons.
Carroll has been linked with a return to boyhood club Newcastle, who he left for Liverpool in 2013.
And the Daily Star says Toon are now free to make a move for Carroll after a specialist confirmed he had successfully recovered from an ankle injury.
