Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hailed Joel Matip as "one of the best pieces of business" he has done.
Matip was one of his first signings at Liverpool when landing him on a free transfer from Schalke back in 2016.
Klopp said: "With the challenges you have, you grow. Joel was always an incredible talent.
He was 18 playing for Schalke, that's not easy.
"In a world of big transfer fees, signing Joel on free transfer was incredible, one of best pieces of business we did."
