RB Leipzig are expected to announce the signing of Chelsea defender Ethan Ampadu today.
The 18 year-old was in Leipzig on Friday for a RBL medical, says Kicker.
Ampadu is due to sign with RBL on-loan for the season. The Germans have pressed for a permanent option, though that's something Chelsea will not countenance.
The teen is tied to Chelsea until 2023.
Blues boss Frank Lampard admitted earlier this week, I tried to sign Ethan on loan at Derby last year, so I'm a big fan, but with the minutes he played last year, I have to think of the bigger picture and the interests of Ethan and of Chelsea.
