A tragic incident struck a four years old boy as he was injured after being bitten by a pack of wild dogs at Jalan Mampakad Laut, Pitas, Kota Marudu, Sabah, last Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 6.00 AM when the victim, Muhamad Dhan Rezdey Ruddy, suffered from bodily injury from dog bites before he was saved by a couple who happened to be near the location of the incident.

According to Sinar Harian, Kota Marudu District Chief, Superintendent Zairolnizal Ishak stated, they received reports of wild dogs attack, and the victim had been sent to Hospital Pitas for checkups.

According to Zairolnizal, the investigation shows that the case reporter and her husband just happened to pass the location while riding motorcycles to Dataran Bengkoka.

"The reporter stated that she saw a pack of 7 wild dogs, angrily barking while crowding and biting something in the middle.", says

"She got near the dogs and saw a little boy lying down with no clothes, his body smeared with blood as the dogs bit him. Then, she called her husband to chase away the animal and saved the child.", says Zainolnizal on Thursday

Zainolnizal also stated the pack of dogs that attacked the child was often seen wandering around that area and Dataran Bengkoka.

According to Zainolnizal, the incident occurred when the victim's mother went out and walked to work near the area while the victim followed her without their grandmother's knowledge.

"The victim's mother left him under his grandmother's care, and the distance from their house to her work location was around 300 meters, while the location of the incident happened 100m from their home.
